Here’s the setup. You’re hiking outside Telluride. The hike goes wrong, as hikes in stories always do. Night is falling, a storm is rolling in, and you find an old cabin tucked back in the trees. You break in for shelter.
It is not a normal cabin.
You have 70 minutes to work out what happened here and get out. And then — this is the part people don’t expect — escaping The Cabin puts you in The Shed, which is exactly where he wanted you all along.
Two rooms. One continuous story. Seventy minutes. Private game, meaning it’s just your group. No strangers. Nobody’s cousin’s coworker breathing on your neck while you’re trying to think.
Yes, Really, Grandparents Are Good at This
There is a persistent myth that escape rooms are a young person’s activity, like TikTok or standing up quickly.
We would like to formally correct the record.
Escape rooms reward the things people accumulate over a few decades of being alive: patience, pattern recognition, reading things carefully instead of shouting them, the willingness to try a key in a lock twice, and — critically — the ability to stay calm while a teenager frantically pulls on a drawer that is very clearly not a drawer.
We have watched a grandmother crack a puzzle in under a minute that her three grandchildren had been aggressively dismantling for eleven. She said nothing. She simply looked at it, solved it, and let the silence do the work.

Fair question. Montrose is a town of about 19,500 people. Why does it have an escape room designed to Las Vegas standards?
Because the person who built it does this for a living down there. The Cabin & The Shed was designed by an award-winning Las Vegas escape room creator whose rooms have earned thousands of five-star reviews and national recognition — rooms known for detail, atmosphere, and stories that actually go somewhere instead of just hiding a padlock behind a plant.
The reasonable business decision was to build more rooms in Las Vegas.
